Many people think of prayer as a kind of spiritual magic where we say a prayer and the religious magic happens. And if the answer we want does not materialise, then we seek out that magical special place or that magical spiritual person to enhance our prayers. But what if prayer is more often a struggle with God that does more to transform me, than anything that might happen to other people?
